On the 13th May, David Pimperton, our EMEA Practice Lead swam 5km in the Swimathon to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie, who united as partners to raise as much money as possible for two causes close to the nation’s hearts.

About the charities:

  • Cancer Research UK – The largest charitable funder of cancer research in the world, 1 in 2 of us will get cancer and all of us can support the research that will beat it.
  • Marie Curie – There for people with any terminal illness, and those close to them from diagnosis to bereavement. They also have a free support line can help with any question about end of life.

David initially had a target of raising £500, but thanks to many of his generous family and friends, including some of his fellow colleagues and a donation of £250 by Chevin, he ended up raising a total of £1,526!

I completed the Swimathon in 2hrs 2 mins so I’m really pleased. Thanks to all the support and generous donations from my connections I’ve raised over £1500 for Cancer Research UK , Marie Curie and the Swimathon Foundation. Special thanks to Chevin Fleet Solutions for a substantial donation and my swimming jammers!
