Charity Football raises over £150 for Me&Dee charity
This month we took part in the 12th Midlands Charity Football Tournament at Powerleague Nottingham. The annual 5-a-side football tournament is made up of professionals from across the Midlands, each year the tournament goes from strength-to-strength in terms of standard and sportsmanship and this year was no different!
The football tournament was launched with three aims:
- To raise vital funds for Me&Dee.
- To promote football as a sport.
- To provide a platform for networking across the Midlands business and public sector community.
Over the years, the Sellick Partnership has raised more than £15,000 for charity and this year we donated £150 by participating in the event. Chevin made it to the quarter-finals of the tournament with a total of 12 goals, after 3 wins, 1 loss and then a loss in the knockout stages!
Once again the tournament was in aid of Me&Dee, an award-winning Midlands based charity that organises holidays and trips away for individuals with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. The charity was formed to create special moments and memories to ensure both children and adults share distinctive experiences moments and memories to ensure both children and adults share distinctive experiences when time is precious.
