Charity Football Tournament raises over £2,500 for me&dee
Last month, Chevin proudly took part in the 14th Midlands Charity Football Tournament, held at Leisure United in Derby in aid of the incredible charity Me&Dee.
The annual 5-a-side event brings together professionals from across the Midlands, and this was Chevin’s sixth year competing. Each year, the tournament grows in both standard and sportsmanship – and 2025 was no exception.

Me&Dee’s mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure families facing difficult and uncertain times are given the chance to create lasting memories together. Without the charity’s support, hundreds of local families would not have had the opportunity to make those treasured ‘forever memories’ in the precious time they had left.
Thanks to the tournament, over £2,500 was raised for the charity, and over the years the event has raised more than £15,000 for good causes.
On the pitch, Team Chevin put in a strong performance, scoring an impressive 28 goals across six matches before lifting the Shield (the tournament’s secondary competition).
To top it off, they also got to take home a wooden spoon each as a prize, a fun reminder of the day’s spirit of friendly competition.

Chevin’s Results:
– Lost 3-2
– Drew 2-2
– Won 3-0
– Won 8-0
– Won 12-0
– Won 5-0
A huge well done to everyone who took part, and congratulations to me&dee for another fantastic event that will make a lasting difference to so many families.
