We’re pleased to announce that we are the official driver licence checking partner for the Fleet Show 2017 test driving experience.
Chevin will be on hand throughout the show – taking place 10 May at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire – to check licences for attendees wishing to test drive new cars and vans around the iconic circuit.
Delegates at the Fleet Show will require their licence to be checked against the Government’s one time checking service to ensure that they meet manufacturers’ requirements, before they are allowed access to drive on the track. These checks will be carried out by Chevin in Hall 2 at the Show.
To have their licence checked for the test driving experience, visitors will need to bring along a unique reference number (which must be generated within 21 days of the event) and their driving licence. Further details and all FAQs are available on the Fleet Show website.
As well as running the licence checking for the day’s event, Chevin will also be in attendance as an exhibitor at the show (Hall 3, Stand C14) to demonstrate its own real-time automated driver licence checking service: An online service that seamlessly links with the DVLA’s database, automating operational licence checks for a range of personnel – including commercial vehicle operators, company car drivers, grey fleet employees and even their spouses.
“This enterprise-level solution streamlines the process involved in ensuring drivers are legally entitled to operate an organisation’s vehicles and helps to provide a complete auditable trail of driver licence status, endorsements, vehicle types and more,” explains David Gladding, Global Sales and Marketing Director, Chevin Fleet Solutions. “The service significantly reduces the administration burdens involved in licence checking and helps fleets reinforce a comprehensive road safety policy and ensure duty of care compliance is met.”
Available as a standalone product or as a fully-integrated module within Chevin’s FleetWave software, this service offers:
Full compliance with data protection
Secure access by authorised users only
Employee mandate management with automatic email reminders and uploads
Automatic check intervals with definable parameters such as mileage, D.O.B and more
Automatic driver record updating
Easy-to-read status reports
Automatic alerts to system users when an ‘at risk’ driver is identified
Data integration with risk management / driver assessment solutions
Data integration into HR systems
The ability to manage drivers by exception
In addition to showcasing its driver licence checking service, Chevin will also be demonstrating other ways that its multi award-winning fleet management software, FleetWave, is used by fleets around the world to help improve compliance, reduce administration, manage risks and cut costs.
