With commercial fleets under continuous pressure to achieve savings whilst ensuring strong compliance, it is vital for them to have a solution in place to help ensure visibility over costs and meet their legal and regulatory responsibilities.

At this year’s CV Show (25-27 April, 2017) we will demonstrate how our fleet and asset management software helps organisations retain optimal control over costs, compliance and workload.

Global Sales & Marketing Director, David Gladding, explains:

Commercial fleet operations will be familiar with the many challenges involved in managing their assets – from the need to keep costs and staffing stringently under control, to working around increasing levels of congestion in British cities, and ensuring workshops are effectively managed and compliance responsibilities are met. `

“In fact ongoing industry developments mean there are arguably more things to be considered than ever when it comes to efficiently managing the modern fleet. However there are also many opportunities to be taken advantage of, such as vehicle connectivity and so-called ‘big data’ which can help fleets understand and improve their operations.

“As fleets continue to deal with larger amounts of data and complex requirements, ultimately it’s those that can interpret and then act on this information most efficiently who will be best placed to achieve optimum improvements in end-to-end fleet costs, workloads, utilisation and compliance.”

The topic of data management will be explored in more detail at our CV Show stand this year, where we will demonstrate how our enterprise-level fleet management software, FleetWave, is helping organisations take control of their information and achieve improvements in nearly every aspect of fleet, asset and maintenance management.

FleetWave works by bringing together a wide variety of internal and external data – from job card and vehicle defect information to real-time supplier parts availability – into a single, secure system. From there, users can compile instant, easy-to-interpret reports, quickly analyse trends and performances, set actionable KPIs and streamline processes.

Some of our software features demonstrated at the CV Show will include:

Workshop module: A module aimed at operations running their own workshops, designed to help reduce vehicle downtime, increase maintenance turn-around, improve job scheduling and boost technician productivity.

Real-time driver licence checking service: A service to automate the checking of employees’ driving licences to determine whether drivers are legally entitled to operate company vehicles and alert organisations to incurred penalty points and offences. This service helps businesses carry out driver risk profiling and completely removes the administration involved in manual driver licence checking.

FleetWave Forms: An award-winning mobile forms app, used by drivers to perform daily vehicle inspections and capture defects which can be raised as jobs in the maintenance or workshop module. In eliminating paper-based methods of collecting information, FleetWave mobile helps improve remote workforce management, reduce administration, and increase productivity.

David explains:

“FleetWave can be used to help ensure compliance and reduce admin in a great number of ways – for example, it can be used to check that everything from tax and MoT to LOLER, O Licence and tachograph requirements are completely up to date, including using reports and KPIs to flag up any forthcoming expiry dates and other potential issues.

“There really is an endless amount of ways that FleetWave can help organisations take control of their fleet, and we look forward to demonstrating all these features in more detail to visitors at this year’s CV Show.”
