INDUSTRY HEAVYWEIGHT DECLARES FLEET FORUM A RESOUNDING SUCCESS

Ron Katz, Senior Vice President of Chevin Fleet Solutions, and fleet management software industry heavyweight has declared this year's Fleet Forum Conference as the best yet. The Conference, which was held in Geneva, brought together 80 delegates from International organisations such as, the World Health Organisation, Oxfam and Worl Vision, to focus on the latest technologies and how they affect fleet and senior managers operating in challenging and unstable environments. The event, which this year put a spotlight on technology in fleet management, aims to bring practitioners together annually to discuss and tackle key issues facing transport operators in low and middle income countries.

Katz, who has over 30 years experience in the fleet management industry, comments: "2011's Fleet Forum Conference was interesting and exciting as we explored and demonstrated how leveraging technology can streamline existing fleet processes. This year the keynote speech was given by Ambassador Betty King, Representative of the USA to the United Nations International Organisations in Geneva. This is the first time a high-level politician has delivered a speech at the event and highlights its growing importance in the industry and aid sector."

As part of the speaker line-up, Katz shared his expertise about modern fleet management information systems and how they can be used to capture and consolidate disparate fleet operating data from large geographically dispersed fleets into a single integrated system. Katz's speech was incredibly well-received with numerous members of the audience approaching Katz immediately afterwards to discuss the capabilities of fleet management software and its integration with existing systems.

"We covered an array of core issues to ensure delegates left with valuable knowledge and the practical tools they need to effectively manage their fleet, right from donation to delivery. The event also provided the unique opportunity of networking and sharing knowledge with other delegates, while re-connecting with others in the community and speaking to interested parties," concludes Katz.
