CHEVIN SHINES A BLUE LIGHT ON FLEET TECHNOLOGY AT NAPFM

With the UK police force spending £83 million on vehicles last year and inevitable spending cuts set for the public sector, the emergency services face challenging times ahead. As such, global fleet management consultancy and software provider, Chevin Fleet Solutions, will attend the National Association of Police Fleet Managers Conference (NAPFM) to demonstrate how effective fleet software can improve fleet operations while significantly reducing unnecessary expenditure.

Chevin will demonstrate to delegates from the UK and international Police services, emergency services and government departments how its two core products, RoadBASE® and FleetWave®, effectively measure and benchmark the financial intricacies of public sector fleets. Offering real-time operational overview of fuel consumption, vehicle repair costs, workshop jobs and warranty reports, Chevin’s systems can help the blue-light services save money, whilst simultaneously reducing the burden of time spent on administration.

The invitation only event, now in its 38th year, will also provide the setting for the unveiling of a strategic partnership between Chevin Fleet Solutions and software licensing, hardware, security and related IT service provider, Softcat, to broaden the asset management offering available to the public sector.’

Ashley Sowerby, managing director of Chevin Fleet Solutions comments: “For us the emphasis is on improving efficiencies to achieve cost savings without affecting front line services. Therefore we aim to show NAPFM attendees that by providing a centralised point for all data, alongside powerful analytical tools, we can help reduce their fleet spend while improving their fleet management practices.”

Chevin prides itself on providing bespoke solutions, so experienced staff will be available throughout the event to demonstrate how the two systems’ capabilities and flexibility can meet individual requirements.

With an impressive client portfolio that includes the World Food Programme, National Ambulance Service and New York State Police, Chevin already has proven success of helping the blue-light sector dramatically reduce their fleet spend
