Keep your fleet in 'Czech' with Chevin

Global fleet software specialist Chevin Fleet Solutions believes it’s created the first World-class fleet software packages translated into Czech.

The move by the Derbyshire-based company firms its aim to serve the rapidly developing markets of Eastern Europe, and follows its successful exhibit at the Fleet and Business Day, Prague in November.

Sales and marketing manager Gavin Clark said: "Working alongside a local agent, we’ve have produced a Czech-language version of our market-leading software packages FleetWave® and RoadBASE®.

"With a maturing fleet market in the Czech Republic and its neighbouring countries, the whole region is starting to look at ways to lower costs, reduce administration time and control fuel consumption. Fleet software, particularly software in the local language and using local taxation regulations, is the next logical step for a huge number of businesses."

Leasing companies provide the majority of vehicles in the region, but the businesses are starting to find that 'Free' software provided by the companies often manages the assets very well, but doesn’t cater for fuel, drivers or non-vehicular assets. "This leaves gaps for things to fall through," added Mr Clark.

"We hope to help those businesses not only look after the vehicular assets but also track and control the other aspects of their entire fleet operations, offering one resource for the whole business and in their local language. This has been possible utilising the extremely powerful translation table behind both software packages, that will allow any country to use the system in any language or currency and we would welcome enquiries from other developing fleet markets to adapt the software for their regions. Fleet operators all over the world have known for a long time that we speak their language – now for a large segment of the Eastern European market that rings even more true!"
