Harris County, TX has recently implemented Chevin's web-based enterprise fleet management information system, FleetWave® to gain control over escalating fleet running costs while allowing real-time remote access to the County’s dispersed departments. Using FleetWave®, Harris County is now reaping the benefits of the most sophisticated and flexible web-based fleet management system available. Harris County maintains a diverse fleet of more than 5,000 pieces of equipment out of multiple maintenance facilities and benefits from FleetWave's Workshop, Inventory, Touch Screen, Purchasing, Warranty, Campaign and Recall, Driver and Accident management capabilities. FleetWave’s unique asset-centric architecture supports Harris County’s complex equipment inventory requirements while enabling complete vehicle, equipment assignment and preventive maintenance management. Capturing comprehensive equipment attributes from acquisition through disposal details to integrated fuel management; FleetWave® has replaced the County’s inflexible fleet management system and with a single integrated web-based system. To streamline administrative work load while providing comprehensive oversight of complete costs, FleetWave® is integrated with the County’s financial management system and supports monthly mark ups and billing for all fleet related costs.
