The organisation which provides ambulance services for the whole of Northern Ireland is to boost its efficiency still further by signing an order for Chevin Fleet Solutions 'FleetWave' fleet management system - on the first day of the Commercial Vehicle Show (25th April).
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) will conclude the deal for FleetWave at Chevin Fleet Solutions' stand (no 3311, arena zone CVS) at 1pm on Tuesday.
The NIAS signing will end a three-year search for the right system.
Chevin's sales and marketing manager Gavin Clark explained: "NIAS have been looking at different fleet management system packages for quite some time. They currently use a spreadsheet-based system, but find it’s not providing the reports and exceptions they need. Being an ambulance service, their FMS system has to be for more than an ‘off the shelf’ package, with the ability to customise it to suit their own particular needs.
"They wanted software from someone experience at catering for the needs of ambulance services. They wanted an Internet-based package that could be used throughout Northern Ireland. They needed it to manage workshop control, stock, vehicles, drivers and costs with total flexibility. Following a comprehensive tender they finally chose FleetWave as the only package able to meet all the needs listed, at a competitive price."
