The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has a fleet in excess of 450 vehicles based at over 90 sites across the Republic of Ireland. The fleet is comprised of more than 250 accident & emergency ambulances, over 100 patient care service vehicles with the remainder being made up of rapid response vehicles, officer response cars, 4x4 vehicles, in-house maintenance vehicles, emergency equipment and mobile control vehicles. All these vehicles are owned by the HSE.
The primary objective was to source a Fleet Management System suitable for use by the HSE to support the National Ambulance Service in the management of its fleet for the next 5 ? 10 years. The detailed objectives of this system are to:
