Introduction

Saint-Gobain established its first major base in the UK in 1985, when it acquired Stanton plc from British Steel. Today, they have over 40 subsidiary businesses in the UK & Ireland, involved in a range of manufacturing and distribution activities. Together, these companies employ around 18,500 people and have total annual sales of over £2.5 billion.

Client Brief

SGBD were looking to manage cars, trucks, MHE across all SGBD business units, as well as procurement for SGBD cars.

Client Benefits

SGBD achieved approximately a £12,000 per month cost saving following the introduction of a Driver Business Mileage reclaim system. Every month, approximately 3,000 drivers use this system on-line, greatly reducing the administrative burden and saving indirect costs such as postage, stationery, fax/phone and approval.
