Introduction
In January 2003, the cities of Louisville and Jefferson, Kentucky combined their two governments into a more efficient and effective single Metro County government. The combined Metro Public Works was created to bring together multiple maintenance facilities, standardize maintenance and procurement practices, and ultimately a fleet of 4,000 units under one Fleet Management Information System.

After months of research and an exhaustive selection process, the Metro Public Works chose Chevin's web-based FleetWave as the critical business tool that will enable the Metro Public Works to 'get its arms around its business.'
