Duty of Care CV Show software launch

Chevin Fleet Solutions, the market leading enterprise fleet management software provider, will be launching their new Pay As You Go Duty of Care system at the Commercial Vehicle Show in April to help organisations manage employee owned vehicles, but without the expense of a full fleet management system. Chevin Fleet Solutions provide cutting-edge fleet management software that meet all market requirements and legislation in addition to offering unique solutions for all customers - regardless of their individual needs. Chevin’s two main products are FleetWave® - the first commercially-available internet-based solution and RoadBASE® -the popular and long established PC-based system. Chevin recently sponsored the "Managing Fleet Safety" Seminars and found a gap in the market: a lot of organisations are struggling to make sure their 'grey fleet' (employee owned cars used for company business) are complying with the Duty of Care legislation. Ensuring compliance for company owned vehicles is relatively easy as they are managed on a day to day basis, it is the ‘grey fleet’ that they have no control over and often there are thousands of these vehicles. Fleet Managers were crying out for a software system to help them manage these vehicles but by no means required all the features, complexity and cost of a full fleet management system. The PAYG Duty of Care software system was created with these organisations in mind. It holds details on employees and their vehicles, including driving licence, eye tests, MOTs, insurance, NCAP rating, driver training and appraisal, road tax, servicing and accidents. The email engine is included whereby automatic emails can be sent to drivers, reminding them of key events, such as MOT due, insurance renewal and road fund licence expiry. In addition, there is also the option of a Vehicle Registration Number check from Experian or Glass’s that retrieves vehicle details (make, model, colour, year) from just the vehicle registration number, saving costly and timely data inputting. This solution is built using FleetWave® technology, and therefore benefits from being web-based and accessible from anywhere in the world via the internet, without the need to install additional software. PAYG Duty of Care will be launched at the CV Show on 5th April 2005 on Chevin’s stand: 19-420.
